Nationwide campaign to demand PM's ouster

Malaysia's leading political protest group announced plans Wednesday for a seven-week roadshow capped by a November 19 rally in the capital to demand the scandal-tainted prime minister's resignation.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 (MySinchew) -- Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah announced in a press conference today that the Bersih 5.0 rally will be held on November 19, Saturday.

The theme for this year's rally will be "Satukan Tenaga, Malaysia Baru". (Unified Energy, New Malaysia)

In addition, she also announced that a nationwide roadshow will be held at 246 locations across the country beginning October 1.

A Malaysian group that has staged huge political demonstrations in the past will hold another rally in November to protest against the country's scandal-tainted prime minister, its chairwoman said Wednesday.
