PM confirms arrest warrants against Jho Low, Nik Faisal

  • "We are trying to arrest Jho Low. But he is not in the country and we don't have extradition rights in the country he is in."

PUTRAJAYA, June 8 (MySinchew) -- Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad confirmed that the authorities are hunting down fugitive Malaysian tycoon Jho Low and former SRC International managing director Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil to assist in the investigation on the 1MDB scandal.

However, the prime minister said Jho Low is currently hiding in a country with which Malaysia has no extradition rights.

"We are trying to arrest Jho Low. But he is not in the country and we don't have extradition rights in the country he is in."
