Zaid gives police statement

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 (MySinchew) -- Former minister in the prime minister's department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim who was said to have offended Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, arrived at the Bukit Aman police headquarters at 9.30 a.m. this morning to give his statement.

Zaid was accompanied by DAP's MP for Segambut Lim Lip Eng, Selangor DAP committee member Ronnie Liu, Teratai state assemblywoman Tiew Way Keng and Kampung Tunku state assemblyman Lau Weng San, among others.

He told the media as he stepped out of the police headquarters after about an hour of questioning that he was satisfied with the police's professional attitude and that he would cooperate fully with the police in the investigation.

However, he didn't reply specifically to the question whether he would apologize to the Selangor Sultan.
