KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (MySinchew) -- Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun clarified that it was the local government's sole discretion whether to approve the beer festival.

However, he insisted that the police remained firm on its stand not to support the event due to possible terror attacks.

He said from the information obtained by the police, risks of terror attacks were real.

"We'll offer professional suggestions to local governments so that the public would not blame the police after something happens."
