KANGAR, Sept 29 (MySinchew) -- The 36-year-old owner of the controversial "Muslims only" launderette in Perlis said he was running the Islamic concept laundry for the convenience of Muslim customers and that he had no intention of raising any religious or racial controversy.

"Some non-Muslims asked me whether they could patronize my shop, and I explained to them and recommended some other shops for them."

Salehuddin, who moved to Perlis from Kuala Lumpur and started the business two months ago, said he would change the marketing policy if it had a negative impact on the people of Perlis.
