Amy Lew's recreational fruit orchard is a perfect weekend hideaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A combination of healthy diet and recreational fruit garden, the 3-acre property tucked away at an inconspicuous corner at Batang Berjuntai boasts some 30 species of fruit trees, all organically grown.

The orchard used to be the private fruit garden of retirees Amy Lew and her husband Fong before it was opened to visitors this May.

It has been grown with rows of fig, passionfruit, mulberry and roselle trees, along with some kidney bean, lemon, soursop and jackfruit.

You can savor different fruits at different seasons of the year. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the fruit they pluck or have it taken home by weight.

Fresh ingredients

The orchard also features Amy Lew's own recipe kitchen with delicious offerings prepared from freshly picked and insecticide-free ingredients from the garden, including mulberry leaf smoked chicken, pumpkin dongpo pork, basil leaf omelette, pumpkin tofu, etc.

Lew and her family spent almost a year beautifying the fruit garden and setting up the kitchen before opening it to the public in May.

You can find Amy Lew's recreational fruit garden at Lot 1662, Kampung India, Jalan Masjid, Bestari Jaya (Batang Berjuntaii), Selangor.
