Johnson Lee remanded for 3 days

PETALING JAYA, May 16 (MySinchew) -- Bukit Aman commercial crime investigation department director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani confirmed that JJPTR founder Johnson Lee had been detained by the police.

He said Lee was arrested at about 4.30 a.m. this morning in Petaling Jaya to assist in investigation into the JJPTR scam under Section 420 of the Penal Code and Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001.

Two of Lee's assistants were also arrested.

The trio were subsequently brought to the Klang magistrate court at about 2.30 p.m. this afternoon.

They will be remanded for three days to assist in the investigation of JJPTR investment scam.

The police have so far received five complaints against the company, and have opened two investigation files.
