BEIJING, May 14 (Sin Chew Daily) --Wanda Group of China will become the new investor for Bandar Malaysia with over US$10 billion worth of investment.

After a meeting with Wanda Group president Wang Jianlin at Sofitel Wanda Beijing Hotel on Saturday, prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he was grateful to Wanda Group for its interest in the Bandar Malaysia project.

"To the government, we want Bandar Malaysia to be a unique development project, not just another real estate development."

He also said he was confident Wanda Group had the ability to fulfill the government's goals for Bandar Malaysia, and that the investment would be a win-win situation for both sides.

Meanwhile, Wang Jianlin said Wanda Group was upbeat about Malaysia's investment environment as well as development prospects, and that he was willing to share his experiences, wisdom and unique designs with Malaysia.
