5 opposition leaders summoned over Bersih 5

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 (MySinchew) -- Five opposition leaders have been summoned by the police over the allegedly seditious remarks they made during the recent Bersih 5 rally.

PKR's Seri Andalas state assemblyman Xavier Jayakumar Arulanandam, PKR Youth chief Afzainizam Abd Rahman, DAP's Sekinchan state assemblyman Ng Suee Lim, Pakatan Harapan secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah and PKR's Penanti state assemblyman Dr Norlela Ariffin arrived at Jalan Travers police station at around 10.00 a.m. this morning. They stepped out of the police station at about 11.45 a.m..

Lawyer Saiful Izham Ramli said they were being investigated under the Sedition Act and Peaceful Assembly Act 2012, adding that more people would be summoned for questioning over the rally.
